The Juniors, participated in “March Madness” in History class! The student chose a person whom they believe had impacted American history the most. Next, they had to do research on their person and then faced off against whomever they were paired against in a 5 minute presentation to the class. The winner moved on to the next round in the bracket until we had the final two for the championship.
The championship was formatted differently in the aspect that, this time it was a debate between the two “teams” and then entire Junior class voted on who presented/debated their case the best. The championship was between Ben Franklin (Alexis Bradley) and FDR (Gabby Austin). And the winner of the SJCA American History March Madness Tournament was FDR!
Way to go, Gabby! What a fun & innovative way to learn more about American History!
