The Class of 2017 spent a lovely Sunday with a fond farewell charge in the Baccalaureate service at The Church at Quail Creek. The class was led in worship by the senior members of the worship team, followed by a challenge by Pastor Donnie Lane from City Church, who, ironically, led many of these students in chapel when they were in kindergarten! He challenged them from 1 Chronicles 22, when David was told By God that Solomon would build His temple. He said to “embrace God’s purpose, to own their purpose from Him, and to rise to God’s anointing for their lives.” He also blessed them in saying that God’s will must be established in their lives as they go out from SJCA. It is “His anointing,” Lane remarked, “That will qualify you for the purpose that He’s given you!”

The students and their parents were called to the front of the auditorium for a time of prayer over each student, concluded by a prayer of blessing conveyed over the entire class by SJCA Superintendent, Mr. Randy Down.

The final step in these students’ San Jacinto Christian Academy journey, Commencement 2017,  takes place back at The Church at Quail Creek at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 27.
